Tax aspects of real estate donation
Donating real estate can have tax implications, especially if the recipient is not a close person (a relative in direct or collateral line, or a partner living in a common household for at least one year). In such a case, the value of the real estate must be included in the tax return. This includes preparing a market price estimate and possible taxation as other income. In the case of acquiring real estate worth more than 5 million CZK, it is always necessary to inform the tax office, regardless of the obligation to pay income tax.
